How does Elite Soccer League compare with AYSO?

Elite Soccer League is the only youth soccer organization that we are aware of that allows players to play with friends without any restrictions. We believe that many of the benefits of playing youth soccer have nothing to do with the actual game of soccer. Friendships that are formed due to players staying together year-after-year gives the kids confidence as they move into Elementary school, then into middle school and finally into high school.

In addition, Elite Soccer League provides a path for kids wanting to move beyond recreational soccer and into club, without having to break up these friendships that have been formed. Most of the AYSO regions that we are aware of do not have a clear pathway beyond recreational soccer.

How do I request a specific coach or friend form my child’s soccer team?

When you register to play with Elite Soccer League, there is a space on the soccer registration form where you can request a specific coach and/or specific friends. Unless the soccer team is full or there is a discrepancy in age, we are able to honor almost all coach and friend requests

When do fall soccer games start?

Our fall youth soccer games for 2023 start on September 9 and run through November 11. This is the same start date used by ayso soccer, lnysa, and most south orange county club soccer teams.

When do fall soccer teams practice?

Fall Mini Kickers’ teams typically practice on Saturdays before the game.

Fall Rec and Rec Plus soccer practice days and times are determined by the coach as the sessions need to work with her or his schedule. Usually soccer practices are held for an hour between 4:30 and 7:00 on one or two days during the week.

We don’t usually know in advance which days and times a coach is planning to hold soccer practice.

Where do fall soccer teams practice?

Elite Soccer League forms fall soccer teams geographically so that families have to travel as little as possible for soccer practice and soccer games. You can look on our field page (www.elitesoccerleague.com/fields) and see which fields are in your city

When will I hear from my child’s fall soccer coach?

Our fall soccer teams are formed in the third week of August. You should hear from your fall soccer coach by the end of August if not sooner

How can my child move from recreational soccer into academy and club soccer?

Club soccer teams are typically year-round teams and play from March to March. After the fall season we hold free training sessions and club evaluations where you can see if your son or daughter is ready to move beyond recreational soccer and into academy or club soccer with CFA

What if my child is not ready to play club soccer?

Because players develop at different rates, there is no need to rush into club or feel behind if you child is not playing club soccer in elemenary or even middle school. Many of the best soccer players in high school do not blossom until they are in middle school or even Freshman/Sophomores in high school. The most important thing in the younger years is to keep them playing and loving the game of soccer.
