Our Rec Plus program is growing like crazy and is the perfect place to help your child develop the necessary skills to move from Rec Plus into Signature and Club.

The Rec Plus program is also a great place for kids to solidify friendships (invite your friends to join your team!) and/or meet new friends (register and be placed on a new team).

Our goals for the Rec Plus soccer program are to 1) help the kids develop a deep love for the game and 2) give them the skills they need to later play on one of the Signature and/or CFA club teams if they choose.

Unlike any other soccer organization we know, Elite Soccer League allows players to request specific coaches and teammates without restriction. As a result, teams often stay together for several seasons and strong friendships form both on and off the field.

Details for Spring Recreational Plus (+) Soccer are as follows:

  • Age Brackets - Boys and girls U9-U13 (we have separate brackets for each age group)

  • Game Dates - Saturdays March 7 - May 16 (8-10 games)

  • Practices - Two training sessions per week

  • Locations - Players are assigned by city and all games / trainings take place on local South County fields (link)

  • Cost* - $135

  • Deadline - February 12 (after February 12, players are added to teams with space, but not guaranteed a spot)

  • Format - 7v7 for players U9-U10; 9v9 for players born in U11-U13

    Competition: At least eight (usually 10) games including playoffs

  • Refs - for Rec Plus, we use an independent, professional referee organization to cover the games. The cost for the referees is about $40 per family for the entire season and is collected by the Coach or Team Manager before games begin. The primary benefits of using paid refs include player safety, and no untrained, unhappy, forced volunteer refs.

  • Choice - Players and coaches can form teams without restriction. Elite Soccer League will fill in any openings on the roster with individual registrations

*In cases where a qualified volunteer is not available to coach, Elite will assign a professional coach to take practices and games for the team. The cost for a professional coach ($75/month/player) is a separate charge and will be invoiced once training has begun.
